The following is a list of work undertaken and what was required to complete/achieve the results.
Some of these examples will require Adobe Flash Player in order to work, other elements are embedded from the websites they are stored on, however if they are not available, a link to the origin page is also attached.

Swansea Timber & Plywood
Over the course of the summer (2006) I took secured a placement at Swansea Timber & Plywood. Organised through Graduate Opportunity Wales this would see me completing a number of tasks that were set for the duration of the placement.
Here I had to implement the skills gained from my university studies to:
- Create a shop website using XHTML/CSS and ensuring the site was produced to XHTML Tranisitional Doctype.
- Use knowledge of Photoshop to update product photographs.
- Create a catalogue for print.
- Setup an eBay store and create a custom auction template (using inline-css).
This placement was good practice for me to implement my skills into the professional environment to work with professionals and also improve upon my teamwork/time/self management skills, something which is credited by the City & Guilds Professional Development Award that I achieved while undertaking the placement.

Food Wars
Designed as part of the Authoring 2 module at Swansea Institute, this game provided me with the opportunity to test out Actionscript and Flash. Additionally it would also see me investigate Flash and Actionscript implementation on other platforms. This game was constructed for PDA (iPaq 1940) as it was my intention to use the circular jog wheel to act as navigation of the main character. The game was to promote a message of healthy eating whilst appealing to a young target audience using colourful visuals and characters.
The game is available to play on the left hand side, however, if you would like to download the game (to play or test on a PDA) then please feel free to do so by clicking the link below.

Redirecting A Brand
TThis was created to give an existing brand a new identity to a target audience. Using Macromedia Director (and Lingo) I attempted to create an explorable interface that would see the user searching for the information rather than being confined to a grid based approach. The sights and sounds were constructed by myself and are in place to keep in line with the product image but also emulate the touch screen potential of the product.

The Journey
Originally created back in 1st year at Swansea Institute as part of the BSc Multimedia Course. This video was created using Premier and Photoshop using photos taken by myself. The aim was to show the journey of someone being trapped in an elevator whilst using techniques such as slides to create the impression of the elevator. Mixed in are macro shots from within the elevator to create a heightened sense of anxiety. The final output was created for the Nokia 7610 (3GP Video) and also a PC version was also created using Director which enabled the user to pick a choice of the journey, each of which had their own different sound played over the top which would give the user a different interpretation of the journey.
